ALDO FOOTBALL CLUB COMPETITION – IN-STORE AND ONLINE TERMS & CONDITIONS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- ALDO FOOTBAL CLUB COMPETITION
- This FrontierCo (Pty) Ltd trading as ALDO “ALDO Football Club Competition” (“Competition”) is organised and conducted by FrontierCo (Pty) Ltd trading as ALDO (“Promoter” or “ALDO”).
- This Competition forms part of ALDO Football Club, a fashion-led campaign aligned to the FIFA World Cup 2026 and featuring Bafana Bafana player ambassadors Teboho Mokoena, Aubrey Modiba and Oswin Appollis. The Competition will be conducted online and in-store, together with participation through the ALDO WhatsApp mechanism.
- This Competition commences at 00:01 on Monday, 8 June 2026 and closes at 23:59 on Monday, 31 August 2026 and entries received after the closing date will not be considered. There are no entry fees to participate in the Competition.
- ENTRY CONDITIONS
- Participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older and have a valid identity document, passport or work permit and must reside in the Republic of South Africa during the period of the Competition (“Participants”/“you”/“your”). Multiple Competition entries per person are allowed.
- Participants may not enter or receive a prize if they are directors, members, partners, employees, supplier of goods or services, agents of or consultants of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.
- By entering this Competition, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and the Promoter’s decision regarding any issue with the Competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entry into this Competition is possible as set out below and no responsibility will be accepted for any entry that is not delivered, received or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons, including telecommunication failure on the part of any third-party service provider or otherwise.
- HOW TO ENTER
- To enter this Competition all you need to do is:
- Purchase any full-price ALDO product from a participating ALDO store in South Africa or from the ALDO online store via aldoshoes.co.za during the Competition period.
- Following a qualifying purchase, the Participant must scan the QR code displayed in-store or provided at checkout online.
- The QR code will direct Participants to the official ALDO Football Club WhatsApp mechanism.
- Upon successfully completing the WhatsApp process, Participants will receive a digital player card linked to their qualifying purchase. The digital player cards available is Oswin Appollis, Teboho Mokoena and Aubrey Modiba. Participants may make multiple qualifying purchases during the Competition and may collect multiple player cards.
- Each qualifying purchase is linked to a specific digital player card allocation. The first qualifying purchase will unlock the Oswin Appollis card, the second qualifying purchase will unlock the Teboho Mokoena card, and the third qualifying purchase will unlock the Aubrey Modiba card.
- For the Grand Prize Draw, Participants must collect all three digital player cards during the Competition period.
- Any single qualifying purchase automatically qualifies the Participant for the applicable Monthly Prize Draw, irrespective of the number of digital player cards collected.
- Incomplete or incorrect entries will not be eligible to be entered into the draw and entries must be submitted by the Participant and not by a third party on the Participant’s behalf and prior to the Competition closing date.
- If you use a mobile phone for entry into the competition, the telephone calls / text messages you make will be charged at the prevailing rates, which may vary from time to time. “Free” minutes under a cell-phone contract do not apply.
- PRIZE
- Grand Prize Draw
- Participants who successfully collect all three digital player cards during the Competition will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.
- The Grand Prize consists of ALDO vouchers to the value of R25,000.00 (twenty-five thousand Rand) and an exclusive player experience arranged by ALDO.
- The nature, location, date, format and participants involved in the exclusive player experience shall be determined solely by the Promoter. The player experience is subject to availability, scheduling requirements, security considerations and any applicable sporting, commercial or sponsorship commitments. No guarantee is provided that a specific player ambassador will attend or participate.
- Monthly Prize draw
- Any Participant who completes at least one qualifying purchase during the applicable month of the Competition will be entered into that month’s prize draw.
- There will be three Monthly Prize Draws consisting of one draw in June 2026, July 2026 and August 2026 each.
- Each Monthly Prize Draw winner will receive ALDO vouchers to the value of R5,000.00 (five thousand Rand).
- The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value should the Prizes promoted not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
- No Prize is transferable or exchangeable and may not be redeemed for cash.
- DETERMINATION OF WINNER
- Monthly Prize Draw winners will be selected by random automated draw after the conclusion of each applicable month during the Competition. One winner will be selected for each Monthly Prize draw. The Grand Prize winner will be selected by random automated draw from all Participants who have collected all three digital player cards. The Grand Prize Draw will take place on or about 1 September 2026. Winners will be contacted using the details provided during participation and may be announced on ALDO social media platforms.
- All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured, and approved by the Promoter.
- Promoter will share personal details of the respective winner, such as name and contact number with a Promoter-approved third-party agency and/or Promoter Marketing Team, who will notify the respective winner that they have won in the Competition, and by participating in the Competition, entrants/Participants expressly agree to and accept such disclosure as is necessary to effect Prize fulfilment.
- Promoter and Promoter Marketing Team will use reasonable efforts to contact the winner via direct messaging on their social media profile, email, or telephonically as may be applicable on the contact details provided by the entrant/Participant to participate in the Competition.
- Promoter and Promoter Marketing Team shall attempt to contact the winner for a period of 2 (two) normal working weekdays after their name has been drawn and verified as the winner. The winner will be contacted during normal working hours, between 8 AM and 5 PM. Winner will be advised of arrangements in respect of the Prize at the time of contacting the selected winner.
- Should an entrant/Participant not be available on the contact details provided during the timeframe stipulated above or rejects, forfeit, or decline acceptance of the Prize, that person’s right to the Prize will be deemed to have been waived, and the Prize will be forfeited. Promoter reserves the right to then award the Prize to the next randomly drawn entrant/Participant.
- The claim for any Prize will be subject to security and validation, and Promoter reserves the right to withhold any Prize until it is satisfied that the claim by a particular winner is valid. The selected winner must be able to identify themselves, in a manner determined by Promoter, as the qualifying entrants/Participants to the Competition and have to comply with the required validation procedure, determined by Promoter, in order to claim any Prize, failing which such winner will forfeit the Prize and the Prize will be awarded to the next selected qualifying entrant.
- Notwithstanding the fact that the Prize vests in the winner immediately upon the determination of the results, in the event that the required documentation from a particular winner has not been received at the agreed cut-off date communicated to the winner, or no effort is made on the part of the winner to make special arrangements to meet the deadline set by Promoter, such Prize will be forfeited. Promoter then reserves the right to award the Prize to the finalist that is next in line.
- With the consent of the winner, ALDO may make media announcements / publish the name of the Prize winner / take photographs of the winner and such may be posted on the ALDO Facebook, Instagram and any other social media platforms and/or websites managed and/or owned by ALDO. The winner may decline the use of their image, name and surname and/or likeness by Promoter.
- The Promoter’s decision in terms of clause 5 shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- PRIZE DELIVERY
- The following general conditions apply to the delivery of the Prize, unless otherwise indicated.
- Promoter will determine the mode of Prize delivery at its discretion.
- In the event of a Prize requiring physical delivery – delivery will take place via courier at dates, times and places agreed to between Promoter and the winner. The winner must provide a correct address for delivery. Delivery may only be possible during weekdays (Monday – Friday) between 09h00 – 17h00, and not on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. If the winner is not home for courier or delivery, or the address cannot be found, the winner will be offered one more opportunity to provide an accessible address for delivery and to be available for such delivery; if delivery is still not possible, the Prize will be forfeited.
- In the event of a Prize requiring physical collection – the Promoter will communicate the address and location where and hours when the Prize can be collected by the winner. Promoter shall not be held liable should the winner be unable to collect the Prize. Prize must be collected by the winner at the address and location and time agreed upon by the parties for collection, failing which the Prize will be forfeited.
- In the event that a Prize can be sent electronically via email, a valid email address must be provided by the winner. If Promoter has sent the email containing the electronic Prize to the email address provided, delivery thereof will be deemed to have taken place. Promoter will not be held liable if delivery to such an email address fails or if the winner is unable to retrieve the email or Prize as sent to such email.
- In the event of data and/or airtime Prizes, all data Prizes will be allocated to the winner within 7 (seven) working days after the Competition days after the Competition winner has been confirmed and the winner’s details have been confirmed, including the cell phone number that the data and/or airtime must be transferred to.
- In the event of a cash Prize, the cash Prize will be transferred via EFT (electronic funds transfer) to the winner within 7 (seven) working days after the Competition winner has been confirmed and the winner’s banking details confirmed by receiving proof of banking details and identification.
- Should Promoter not be able to fulfil their obligation in delivering the Prize to the winner, for whatsoever reason, including due to lack of accurate information provided by the winner or the winner’s inability to receive the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited.
- In order to effect arrangements required for the Prize fulfilment in terms of this Competition, Promoter will share personal details of the respective winner, such as name and surname, and contact number, with a Promoter-approved third agency or Promoter’s Marketing Team, for distribution of the Prize, and by participating in the Competition, entrants/Participants expressly agree to such disclosure as is necessary to effect Prize fulfilment.
- If a winner cannot accept a Prize for any reason whatsoever, or if Promoter is unable to deliver the Prize (including for the reasons mentioned above), the Prize will be awarded to the next selected entrant.
- All risks and ownership of the Prize shall pass to the winner on transfer/delivery thereof, and all of Promoter’s obligations regarding the Competition and Prizes shall terminate.
- PUBLICITY AND PERSONAL DATA PRIVACY
- The winner has the right to decline permission to use their name or image in marketing material or participate in any marketing activity. Should the winner expressly agree to it in writing, the Promoter may publish the winner’s name and image on its social media platforms and/or website, without any liability to the Promoter or remuneration due to the winner.
- By entering the Competition, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that his/her personal information will be shared with the Promoter and its agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for the Prize, if applicable, to be delivered to the winner.
- All personal information relating to the Participants will be used, processed and stored solely in accordance with South African consumer and personal data protection legislation and the Company’s privacy policy which can be found at aldoshoes.co.za.
- Any personal data relating to the winner or any other Participant will be used solely in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act No.68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act No.4 of 2013 and will not be disclosed to a third party without the winner’s or Participant’s prior consent.
- This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network.
- GENERAL
- The Promoter reserves the right to shorten, extend, suspend the time period of the Competition or terminate the Competition whenever it should so choose for technical, commercial, or operational reasons or for reasons beyond its control or generally for any reason whatsoever, in its sole discretion. The Competition, its Prize and terms and conditions may be amended by the Promoter, at any time during the Competition and will be applied and interpreted within the Promoter’s sole discretion. In such an event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Competition, and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter whatsoever.
- All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Promoter.
- By participating in the Competition and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the Promoter, its associated, holding and subsidiary companies, its directors, officers, agents, representatives, organisers, contractors, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims and/or liabilities arising from participating in the Competition, any Competition-related activity and/or acceptance, receipt, possession or use/misuse of the Prize.
- The Promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered as a result of incomplete or incorrect information provided.
- The Competition terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and by entering this Competition you consent and submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

- You may not participate in or win a competition if you have won a competition promoted by ALDO within the past three months. You will be eligible to participate in a competition promoted by ALDO after the expiry of three months after the date on which you won the last competition.
